Education

42 School

Software Engineer • Level 13
42 is based on an innovative teaching method: there's no class, and no teacher, only challenging projects to learn software engineering 🚀 The certification is based on levels and XP, just like in a video game.
Here are some projects I built there (also available on GitHub)
> A streaming platform based on Bittorrent Protocol [NodeJS/ReactJS/Mongo]
> An e-commerce website from scratch
> A website to take a webcam picture, create filters, post it on a gallery • PHP/SQL
> A dating Web App: real time Notifications, Chat, Suggestion Algorithm • NodeJS, ReactJS, Mongo

I also contributed on several Freelance Projects:
> A QR code Scanning Mobile App [IonicFramwork]
> I coded a landing page for a 3D Printing startup
> I made an e-commerce website responsive
2016 - 2018

Learning Chinese on an intensive program - 15 hours a week - was probably one of the most exciting experiences in my life. I got to learn traditional Chinese characters which are a great way to get a better understanding of the language - they also look particularly beautiful in Chinese Calligraphy 🙃

Interests

Apart from being a web developer, I have a true passion for Eastern Asian cultures. I've lived in Taiwan and China for mor than a year, and travelled to Japan and South Korea several times. Some of my Asian trips pictures are on my personal blog, Made in Taiwan Blog.

I also have a true interest in craftmanship : I took Chinese calligraphy clases in China and Taiwan, as well as some Western Calligraphy. I was lucky enough to attend Jewelry making classes at Boulle School and I'm used to do drawing, painting or origamis to relax.

Besides, I would propaly not be a developer if I hadn't a real interest in Geek culture : I keep myself updated about video games, I have been involved in the Maker Movement and I'm a real Youtube lover.
